John Petrocelli works as an Information Technology Specialist and Coordinator for both the Center for Health and Social Research as well the Learning Engagement and Development Services office, both of which are part of the Institute for Community Health Promotion (ICHP).
John's primary responsibilities include programming and maintaining custom web-based applications, database maintenance and development, Geographic Information Systems work, and providing Information Technology related support and consulting for various projects. He also serves as the main liaison between ICHP and the university's IT department. He has many years of experience working with both the Microsoft ASP.NET web-application development platform, the Microsoft SQL Server database platform, JavaScript, Bootstrap, ESRI ArcGIS, ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise, the ESRI ArcGIS JavaScript API, and Microsoft Windows Server.
John also administers the ESRI ArcGIS server for the university in conjunction with the Geosciences Department. He provides some technical assistance to the Geosciences Department as well.
John received a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Computer Information Systems from SUNY Buffalo State University in 2014. He has been with ICHP since 2011.
